Beginning today, four Parisian metro stations (St. Lazare, Champs Elysees Clemenceau, Concorde and Opera) have been decked out with Ikea couches, lamps and other decor; the installation runs until March 24th. Swedish meatballs not included.

How utterly charming of the Paris Metro to mount such an exhibition! I can't imagine! Like to see it after being underground a couple of weeks??

Love it!!!! I just may have to post tomorrow (it's also an easy, no work post for a Friday...) thanks Julie.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog: it's well done and always something unique.
The bums are going to love that. They will know exactly how to break those couches in.
ReplyDeleteNow I know where to couch surf the next time I am in Paris.
ReplyDeleteIt is a cool idea.
I also liked when they created beaches along the Seine by trucking in tons of sand so the kids who had never been to the beach could experience it. The French can be very creative.
You have to love them don't you? xv
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous idea. I love it
ReplyDeleteHow creative. Such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteTotally cool idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. Paris can pull it off. NY wouldn't stand a chance. Someone would find a way to snag a couch and take it with them :)
