Win the Chance to Drive a New Ferrari

The mountain and coastal roads of the Cote d’Azur are considered some of the most gorgeous drives in the world. Now imagine taking their hairpin turns and breath-taking stretches behind the wheel of a convertible Ferrari F430 F1 Spider. Now imagine doing it free.

Yep, here in the South of France, you can enjoy an exhilarating Ferrari ride next to a professional instructor or drive the car yourself (with a co-pilot instructor). And for my newest giveaway, the company that offers these drives,
Liven Up, has given me a gift certificate for €115, good for a 15-minute drive-yourself Ferrari experience from Eze village anytime in the next year. If you've ever driven up that way, you know the beauty that awaits you! Prices for other packages range from 59€ (for a 15-minute ride as the passenger) to 790€ (for three hours driving yourself), with trips starting from Eze, Monte Carlo or Nice. So if you want a longer trip, just add the money and extend it. A camera at the rear of the car will record everything and you'll get a copy of it on an SDHC card...a 49€ value...perfect for boring your friends silly when you get home.

To enter the giveaway, leave a comment below, under ''comments.'' Make sure to leave us your email address so we can contact you if you win. (Signing in with your web URL is not enough, sorry!) In your comment, tell us about the best drive you ever took...or tell us about the drive of your dreams. Or just tell us why you should be our winner!

Meanwhile, to book your own Ferrari ride--or send a gift certificate to a friend--contact:
nath@livenup.fr.  The company also offers a wide range of sightseeing tours, chartered boat trips and more, all of which you can see on their site hereBonne Chance!

  1. What a great opportunity! I have no plans to be out that way so don't enter me into the contest ... but I sure hope you get to take a test ride and blog about it.

  2. K, so, I don't really like driving, I prefer to be on horseback, but my dear long-suffering husband LOVES to drive and would give his eye-teeth for a spin in a ferrari! The best drive he's had so far was in my uncle's old Camaro back in 1986 (and he drove that the wrong way up a one way street, but hey, it was an easy mistake to make...)
So anyway I'm entering in his name, George Greenlee, but I'll use my email address, martine dot greenlee @ gmail.com
Hope that format works, I don't want to be picked up by web crawlers and spammed!

  3. My favorite drives are always through the south of France. There's an incredibly windy, hilly strip of road between Eyglaieres and Mausanne. I bet a Ferrari would be fabulous (and air conditioned). Count me in!

  5. OMG I would love to have the experience of driving a Ferrari and especially along the winding, exciting roads in the South of France.
I adore driving and have always felt confident in my driving ability. I'd love the opportunity to actually drive a serious sports car. I can't think of one driving experience that was better than others. I love driving a stick shift and in France and all the road trips I've taken in this gorgeous country have been enjoyable to me.

  6. Fast cars and even faster airplanes are just about the only thing that my husband really loves. He has dreamed for years of entering the classic Mille Miglia race from Rome to Brescia. In the spirit of fast Italian cars, in a part of France that was at one time Italy please enter doubleaabbott@me.com in your contest...Besides it would get me off the hook for his birthday present :-)

  7. We can't wait to drive these roads in Cote d'Azur and east Provence as well. We are on our way for 10 days this October 2-12! Wouldn't it be grand to drive a red Ferrari instead of a compact from Hertz!

  8. AMAZING giveaway! I would love to win this for my husband, he's a race car driver at heart. He used to have an Audi with a big engine but we sold it when my Dad back in the States became ill so I had money to go back and forth. Now my husband drives a Renault. It doesn't go very fast at all!
Let's see... my dream drive would be driving in a convertible on a sunny day around Les Baux and St.Remy. It's so picturesque there :)

  11. This would be a dream come true!
My most memorable drive (maybe even favorite) was the 7-minute sprint from my Marseille apartment to the hospital with my wife and newborn after our daughter was born IN THE CAR. I drove our VW Passat as if it was a Ferrari and believed in my head for that short stint that my engine had transformed to a V12 with superior handling...

  20. I in no way wish to hurt the feelings of my 2000 Ford Fiesta, God of all Cars, Thor. However he's just not as muscle bound as I would wish. If I win this, I will be an unfaithful though unrepentant Bond girl for 15 glorious minutes, and will return to Thor with a secret smile.

  26. What a glorious prospect!

The Côte d'Azur vistas that inspired artists 100 years ago are now available at the wheel of a new Ferrari driving from Eze Village.

In the words of that great New York poet - Ira Gershwin: "who could ask for anything more?"

It would be a sublime and exhilarating experience.
