Oh, what a dream! Would love to have a peek just to get a feel for where all those lovely, quirky Provencal stories took place.. thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMagnificent!
ReplyDeleteI always imagined a much simpler abode - maybe good so that the price is not openly advertised! ;-)
Oh it is lovelier than I imagined! I wonder if we would be allowed to paint on the grounds when I take my group there in May?
ReplyDeleteWhen he wrote A Year In Provence, his first house in Menerbes was very simple compared to this one.
ReplyDeleteWell that's painfully beautiful, now isn't it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this beautiful house Julie - I viewed the other Peter Mayle house outside Menerbes but this one is plus grand !!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful area to live and the swimming pool is just gorgeous.
The house in Lourmarin is gorgeous nothing like the simple house he renovated in Menerbes and chronicled in A Year in Provence. So is he leaving Provence again?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous house. Is he upping sticks from Provence again? Or maybe the present house is besieged by fans like the one in Ménerbes.
ReplyDeleteDommage que Peter Mayle nous ait quitté...
ReplyDeleteI'm reading this book now! How can he be selling? Well it's April so it probably sold :(
