Win a Week in a Gorgeous Provence Villa
To celebrate their
25th year in business, my friends at the rental agency JustFrance.com are giving away a week in their most-popular villa in
Provence.
The Grand Prize winner of the
#justfrance25 promotion gets a glorious one-week stay at La Tourelle,
a renovated 18th-century farmhouse near Vacqueyras and
Beaumes-de-Venise, in the heart of the Southern Côtes du Rhône wine
country. La Tourelle has a heated pool, two acres of grounds and
spectacular views over the northern Vaucluse. The prize can be used by up
to six guests during one of two weeks: either May 14-21 or May 21-28,
2016.
Included in the package are a
welcome basket, a chef-prepared welcome dinner, your fridge stocked for
breakfast on Sunday morning and a half-day guided tour of local vineyards with
a wine professional. The retail value is $6,325.
A second-place winner will get $1000
off a rental of $5000 or more. Third prize is a gift box of elegant
personalized soaps, made in Provence by Comme un Murmure.
The #justfrance25
anniversary giveaway is open to U.S. residents only...for all
the details and to enter, click HERE. The deadline
for entries is Feb 2 and the winner will be notified by Feb 7.
Good luck to you all on winning this
great giveaway. And congrats to everyone at Just France on this impressive

ReplyDeleteAmericans only? What about Canadians?
ReplyDeleteRose Blamey
Hi Rose,
DeleteJust France says they're really sorry but "due to a wide variety of international laws, and with our most sincere apologies, this promotion is only open to US residents. Canadians count for a considerable portion of our clientele and we're really sorry to have to exclude them!"
Hello Julie,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog but find it offensive that you offer a competition only open to certain people i.e. Americans. I find this racist. If you are really sorry to have to exclude anyone else, I would think you wouldn't have run the competition in the first place. Count me out of your blog as I am not American
Hi Annie,
DeleteI'm sorry you feel that way...truly. When choosing what stories to write or run on my blog, I always aim for the topics that will interest the most readers possible. And since many of my readers are US-based (it's where the largest percentage of them are, actually), I decided that this contest would have wide enough appeal. I felt it would be a shame not to share it with some just because it's not available to all. I hope you see my point...and really hope you'll continue to read and enjoy my blog. Sending best wishes...
So beautiful! Thank you, Provence Post!

ReplyDeleteWhen we first came up with the idea to celebrate our silver anniversary with a special promotion it was our intention to have it open to anyone who wanted to enter. After reviewing the specifics with our lawyer we were made aware that in order to be compliant with US law the promotion would be subject to residency restrictions and therefore would be open to US residents only.
ReplyDeleteOne of the real joys of our business is the opportunity to assist clients from all over the world with memorable trips to France.
It is for that reason we are especially disappointed that we must limit who can participate in this promotion and thank everyone for their understanding as it was not our intention to exclude anyone.
Residency restrictions are standard for any promotion. As stated in term 11 of the official promotion rules, THIS PROMOTION IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF the United States of America AND the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Promotion, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Pennsylvania having jurisdiction.
For a similar example please refer to the Grand Taste of Paris promotion from Maille which states: CONTEST IS OPEN TO RESIDENTS OF THE CONTINENTAL U.S. AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA ONLY (EXCLUDING PUERTO RICO) AND SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO U.S. LAW. DO NOT ENTER THIS CONTEST IF YOU ARE NOT LOCATED IN THE U.S. MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER WITH INTERNET ACCESS AS OF THE START DATE. This is term 8 on this page: http://www.maille.com/en_US/terms_of_sale.html
